BFFECT Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2% + GABA 30ml this is a brilliant serum designed to restore elasticity, rejuvenate skin, build collagen and support your skins own production of hyaluronic acid.
Granactive Retinoid (or Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) to use it's proper name) is the gentler sister of retinoic acid (Tretinoin). It does not need to be converted by the skin to become retinoic acid and given that it is a very active ingredient it is widely known as being gentle on the skin unlike other forms of retinoic acid.
As well as its star ingredient granactive retinoid this also contains the amino acid GABA and Bisabolol known for it's calming and antibacterial properties. This is a lovely night time serum that is easy to apply and absorbs really well.
Great for all skin types except the most sensitive.
How to use:
Apply one to two drops at night time to clean dry skin. Ideally wait a few minutes to allow it absorb and do it's magic and follow with a moisturiser. This should not be used at the same time as any other actives such as AHA's, BHA's, Vitamin C or other retinol products. If you have not used products with retinol before apply twice a week and gradually build up to nightly application as your skin adapts.
Alchemist Bay Top Tip:
It is important to wear an SPF of at least 30 during the day but particularly so when following a retinol regime as it can make your skin more sensitive to UVA and UVB rays.
This is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
